To reinforce our team at Brussels we are looking to hire new.

Responsabilities:

-      Perform customer needs analysis and incident/problem identification to investigate, solve and close incidents & problems

-      Configure, package, verify, and distribute customer specific solutions of high level quality.

-      Operational support and Day-to-day follow-up, monitoring and maintenance of the WINDOWS servers

-      Perform routine WINDOWS admin tasks (e.g. user creation ...)

-      Incident management (troubleshooting)

o   Problem management

o   Availability management

o   Change management

o   Configuration management

-      Ensure, on a daily basis, the control, integrity and accessibility of the databases and applications

-      Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts from commercial, open source and locally developed monitoring tools

-      Contribute to the development of a knowledge base of customer FAQ's for internal use

-      Perform system failure analysis and recovery; insuring the consistency and integrity of file systems

-      Ensure hardware/software configuration and management

-      Deploy, upgrade and set-up WINDOWS systems

-      Identify and solve security-related issues

-      Be in charge of the monitoring and the maintenance of the infrastructure

-      Empower standardization and perform automation of operational tasks where possible

-      Working in close liaison with local and international colleagues

-      Reporting on progress, issues and problems to the supervisor; giving suggestions to optimise service offered and work processes

-      Research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade operating systems.

-      Analyze and evaluate present or proposed business procedures or problems to define data processing needs

Required skills:

-      At least 4 years of experience as System Engineer, with least 2 years in a production environment

-      Security minded, already involved in the implementation of Security standards

-      Strong analytical skills, problem solving ability and stress resistant capability

-      Deep knowledge of windows server operating system (WS 2003 & 2008)

-      Experimented with Microsoft SQL in a clustered environment

-      Active Directory and Windows 2000/2003/XP/7/2008 in corporate environments and an excellent knowledge of Active Directory insights (GPO, RIS, DNS, WINS, LDAP, Windows Update/WSUS, Exchange Server (Standard/Enterprise), Systems Management Server)

-      Corporate LAN/WAN environments

-      Knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, Tivoli, Virtualization (VMWare, PowerVM), Firewall, VPN & IPSec would be considerate as a strong asset

-      Operational experience with Enterprise Systems (SF25K, M8/9000, T5000, HP Superdome) integrated in a Storage Area Network (SAN) is an asset (not mandatory)

-      Operational knowledge of Veritas Volume Manager & Veritas File System, and experience with clustering software like Veritas Cluster Server & HP ServiceGuard, are an asset (not mandatory)

-      Knowledge of common networking & security protocols, DNS

-      Some programming experience (e.g.: C++, Java, Korn shell, scripting)

Required Profile:

-       French or Dutch speaker you have an excellent English (other language are certainly an asset)

-       High level of integrity and maturity

-       Operational and proactive skills with process-oriented mentality

-       You are a good listener and communicator, convincing and pro-active

-       You are autonomous, you can manage your own priorities but you are also a team player

-       You feel good with initiative and motivation to reach planned & ambitious goals
