Our customer in the railway sector want to improve its competitiveness through the digitalization of signaling systems, the improvement of on-board connectivity and the optimization of its production to cope with new concurrents and Chinese competitors are more and more present. ERTMS Projects (European Rail Traffic Management System) is an European initiative which needs to harmonize rail signaling in Europe, the goal is to reduce the rail traffic and to improve its safety. You will support our partner on the hardware, software and telecommunications parts of the development cycle of signaling equipment (ERTMS) the driver's dashboard (DMI) and the main computer / calculator (EVC).
In the signaling department, you will be a member of the Verification & Validation team.
In this context, you will have different responsibilities. One of them is to check the output of each phase is consistent with its inputs. For this, you need to prepare global tests (test sheets and test scenario). It will also be important to do the verification activities on test design and documentation. Of course, it will be important to compare those tests after the test session the result so you need to prepare test data files. As integration and validation engineer, it will be your task to see the anomalies and organize the review in order to analyze those defects and request modifications if necessary. After that, it will be important to do a check-up and perform the regression tests. The most important is to have an overview over the whole V cycle so it is important to maintain a strong link with other engineering disciplines throughout the V cycle.
You have a completed master’s degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering in ICT, embedded system, electronic, mechatronic or robotic with already an experience of 2 years minimum in the railway sectors. You are familiar with the V cycle and the testing strategy. You have strong knowledge in testing tools.
You have good communication skills in both French, English and/or Dutch because you will be working in an international company. You are recognized for your analytical, meticulous and rigorous mindset. Being flexible, having a good resistance to stress and being curious and autonomous while taking initiatives and expressing ideas will be an asset for this job.
