Environment and Mission:
ALTEN Belgium is looking for talents to help our customers in their logistics. Among the different opportunities that we can offer you, you may be able to work in different sectors such as Automotive, Railway, Aerospace, Defense or Energies.
You will play a key role in projects by analyzing and improving existing incoming processes. Your main tasks would be to develop, describe and implement new processes and conduct analysis of the existing systems in order to optimize them. You plan and coordinate the supply of materials and products and ensure that the necessary certificates and customs formalities are in place on time. You will help build and manage core processes including inventory management, S&OP planning, capacity management, new product introductions and master data management;
You support the optimization process throughout the entire Supply Chain by designing, coordinating and supervising logistical improvement projects in cooperation with the local supply chain teams.
You have a completed engineering degree in mechanics or equivalent and have a general knowledge of the logistics processes and systems in industry. Your analytical mindset allows you to come up with proposal to improve coordination and goods/information flows.
You work closely together with the operations (both production, warehousing and shipping), sales and finance departments and the foreign branches. Therefore, you are fluent in English, French or Dutch.
You play with Excel. Knowledge of SAP is an extra asset.
You have experience with MRP applications, SC concepts - APICS certified is a plus.
Because of your mathematical mindset, you know how to process large amounts of data in a complex environment. You are able to gain insight into business processes easily and have a strong drive to improve processes.
You have good communication and social skills and find it interesting to take on technical challenges. Within a variety of projects, your expertise in supply-chain makes all the difference. You like to keep learning and help your colleagues. You look beyond your own work and are always there for your team.
