As an Industrial Automation Engineer at ALTEN, you get to work on automating various systems. Industrial Automation is a conventional market and in order to optimally realize the Industry 4.0 and Smart Industries trends, new technologies need to be deployed.
Since IA systems are becoming increasingly complex, programming PLCs will increasingly benefit from knowledge of programming languages such as C++, for embedded controllers, or C# for HMI/SCADA applications. Our focus is on these higher programming languages and the more complex systems in which our projects are based. As an IA engineer at ALTEN, you can also immerse yourself in other subjects, such as new smart technologies that may be suitable for a project.
You have a Master in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or equal by experience;
You have strong professional experience with one or more PLC/SCADA systems such as Siemens, Bechkoff, B&R or Allen Bradley ;
Knowledge of programming languages such as C++ for embedded Controllers or C# for HMI/SCADA applications ;
Familiar with Ladder Diagrams (LD), Functional Block Diagrams (FBD), Structured Text (ST) and/or Instruction Lists (IL) ;
You have a consultant mindset;
You have excellent communication skills in English;
A good knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an asset;
