Packaging and labeling engineer

The function

ALTEN develops and supplies Life Sciences expertise to leading companies in the world. Today ALTEN Belgium is a major player in Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices…) with 30 customers. As a global player with a local presence, we are flexible and able to adapt to the needs of each customer. That is why we are looking for a Packaging and Labeling engineer to strengthen the team.

As a packaging and labeling engineer, you will:

  • Design and develop packaging, labeling an ‘Instructions For Use’ solutions (qualification, validation, …)
  • Develop packaging and labeling solutions
  • Document all activities and perform tests on product designs
  • Prepare & document all test designs for package
  • Prepare new packaging and ensure maintenance of all bill of materials
  • Be responsible for the troubleshooting of packaging problems involving designs, materials and processes and provide creative, timely and cost-effective solutions

Your profile

  • Master’s in mechanical engineering or packaging engineering
  • You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in packaging engineering/labeling (life sciences, biotechnology or medical devices is a plus)
  • You have knowledge of packaging design validation standards
  • You understand fundamental quality and regulatory packaging related compliance aspects
  • You’re fluent in English
  • Plus: experience in ISO13485
