Global solutions, local customisations: ALTEN’s unique offshoring model

In a fast-moving global landscape, companies increasingly rely on hybrid delivery models that balance local presence with international scale.
At ALTEN, our offshoring strategy is built on a simple philosophy: bring the best global talent together, ensure seamless collaboration, and deliver consistent performance across borders.
With 4 delivery centres in Morocco and more than 2,100 consultants, our teams support clients worldwide through a combination of technical expertise, flexibility, and cultural alignment.
This structure is enabled by our two-part operating model:
- Front office (Local team): close to the client, ensuring understanding of the market, culture, and expectations.
- Back office (Offshore delivery team): a dedicated, highly skilled team focused on execution, efficiency, and scalability.
This hybrid approach gives the clients the ability to scale while remaining connected to a team that understands their context, delivering both agility and excellence. As Martin Guingouain, Technical Director based in Belgium, explains:
“We help our client open up to new possibilities transforming their initial resistance into successful offshore collaborations. Thanks to our team’s creativity and commitment, we built a strong remote delivery partnership.”
Beyond organization and processes, our model is reinforced through regular in-person exchanges between teams. These visits accelerate knowledge sharing, strengthen relationships, and ensure a shared understanding of goals and expectations. As Ismail Ismaili, Business Development Manager based in Morocco, highlights:
“These visits strengthen our offshoring model by improving team alignment, facilitating knowledge transfer, and speeding up decision-making. They build client confidence and open new opportunities for project growth. By fostering direct interactions, they create strong team connections. Overall, they ensure efficient, reliable, and long-term collaboration for our clients and partners.”
Meet today our offshore delivery team: Aya Ghlimi and Asma Gouzi (Supplier Quality Engineers based in Morocco). Together, they answer our questions.
What does a typical day look like for you as an offshore consultant?
Asma: My day starts with reviewing updates and planning my priorities. I then join stakeholder meetings to align on project needs, and I spend the rest of the day working on deliverables and catching up with my teammates to ensure everything stays on track.
Aya: I begin my day with team updates and project alignment. From there, I manage my priorities independently while staying closely connected with the onshore team through regular check-ins to maintain smooth collaboration.
According to you, what is the key to successful teamwork across borders?
Aya: For me, operating as one unified team is essential. Clear communication, mutual trust, flexibility, and stepping in to support each other whenever needed are the foundations of effective cross-border collaboration.
Asma: Success comes from being clear, respectful, and adaptable. Taking the time to understand each other’s working styles and time zones makes cross-border teamwork much smoother.
What do you enjoy the most about being part of this offshoring project?
Asma: I truly enjoy collaborating with colleagues from different countries and discovering new ways of working. Being part of a global team is both inspiring and enriching.
Aya: Coming from a manufacturing environment, I really appreciate the international aspect of this project. Working with diverse teams brings fresh ideas and new perspectives that I love learning from.
What skills have you strengthened thanks to this offshoring project?
Aya: This experience has helped me sharpen my communication and time-management skills, especially when coordinating across time zones. I’ve also become more efficient and focused while working remotely.
Asma: I’ve improved my organizational skills, learned to handle tasks more independently, and become more comfortable adapting to different working styles.

What advice would you give to other consultants who want to succeed in offshore projects?
Asma: Build strong relationships with your teammates and stay flexible. These two things go a long way in ensuring long-term success.
Aya: Be proactive, autonomous, and well-organized. Consistency and taking initiative are key to thriving in offshore environments.
